What stays on your device
Observations, zones, site map markers, harvest logs, and settings are stored in your browser localStorage unless you opt into cloud backup.
What we may store in the cloud
If you sign in and enable cloud backup with an Observe First Steward or S² Ecosystem plan, encrypted journal JSON is stored in S² Cloudflare D1 + R2 on this domain. Sync keys are scoped to your account or device.
AI
BYOK Groq keys stay in your session or S² auth storage — we do not sell them. Hosted AI (paid plans) sends only the prompt you submit to our inference proxy; we do not train on your observations.
Research metrics
Optional anonymized practice metrics (`solarpunk_adoption_v1`) never include observation text.
